Big Spring Creek, Newville Pa
May 14, 2013 On the Stream
Finally figured out how to post things on the site so I will have a lot of updates, stream reports and what not over the next few months. I have a few upcoming fishing trips I hope to get some good pictures and also hope to start shooting some video by the end of the year. I have been spending a lot of time fishing some of the local limestone streams of the Cumberland Valley and the fishing has been pretty good. If you understand Limestone streams a good day is always in the hands of the fisherman themselves. I have been fishing the Big Spring Creek about once a week and I have posted a few pictures of some of the fish caught over the past two weeks. Remember take your time, move slow and stay low when fishing some our Limestone streams. When you are fishing a hole or section of water think about each cast look around you and try not to line the fish. Also don’t be afraid to change flies till you find out what they are looking for. I also fished the Letort this past week hoping to see some Sulphurs hatching late evening on the Letort. We have seen a few Sulphurs but the fish have not really started working them just yet. Within the next few days fish should start keying in on them and this can make for some of the best fishing of the year on the Letort. 5/14/2013
